Role Summary

As an IT Support Specialist at Mediavine, you will be the primary contact for internal technical support, overseeing the management and operation of our information technology systems. Your role is vital in facilitating employee success by managing and supporting end-user hardware and applications across the organization. In addition to providing support for desktop and cloud applications, you will enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain the security and efficiency of Mediavine's IT infrastructure, which is essential for our remote workforce as we continue to expand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software challenges on Apple Mac systems, including operating system issues, local applications, and network connectivity. Assist new users, particularly those transitioning from a Windows environment, with MacOS setup and orientation.
  • Deliver first-level technical assistance for applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, Adobe, Notion, Office for Mac, and Zoom, addressing access, functionality, usability, and synchronization issues.
  • Reset passwords, manage user accounts, and configure basic security settings in cloud applications and on end-user Macs.
  • Utilize Jamf Pro for troubleshooting and daily hardware management tasks.
  • Document technical challenges, solutions, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain a consistent support approach.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while providing exceptional service to all internal users.
  • Stay informed about the latest Apple Mac operating systems, Google Workspace features, and other relevant technologies.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical expertise.
  • Support live online and onsite events as needed.
  • Willingness to travel to on-site locations for team retreats, industry events, and annual gatherings approximately 20% of the time.
Qualifications
  • Location: Must currently reside in the United States.
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT role, ideally in a high-growth startup environment.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Google Workspace, Slack, and other cloud-based applications.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Apple hardware and MacOS in a fully remote setting.
  • 2+ years of experience with Jamf MDM tools.
  • Experience supporting a remote workforce of approximately 200 employees.
  • Experience with technology support (AV, streaming, conference) for both online and onsite events.
  • Understanding of IT policies and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to on-site locations for team retreats, meetings, and annual gatherings approximately 20% of the time.
