Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in the care and support of our patients, providing a safe and therapeutic environment for them to heal and recover.
Key Responsibilities- Assist professional staff in the care of psychiatric patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Facilitate the maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit, promoting a calm and supportive atmosphere.
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living, checking vital signs, and charting observations.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certificate Program in Certified Nursing Assistant or some college-level social science preferred.
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience required.
- Basic Life Support certification upon hire required; Certified Nurse Aide certification preferred.
- Must provide clearance per the Child Protective Services Law amended by PA Act 33 of 1985.
