The Role:

We're looking for an Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you'll be responsible for fostering media relationships, securing high-quality media placements, and acting as a creative contributor on accounts. You'll work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop a strategy that meets their goals. You'll also be responsible for tracking and providing competitive information to clients, supporting the development of influencer campaigns, and staffing media interviews with clients.

Responsibilities:

Media Relations:
  • Secure 15-20 high-quality media placements per month
  • Develop new creative pitches per month to garner press coverage
  • Track and provide competitive information to clients with insight, POV, or implication of industry/competitive news on the business/category
  • Support the development of and execute influencer campaigns/outreach
  • Staff media interviews with clients, provide feedback, and conduct follow-ups with reporters
  • Research client speaking opportunities, industry awards, and competitor analysis
Account Management:
  • Maintain consistent contact with all clients; may serve as point person/day-to-day contact on some accounts
  • Support account lead and may act as point person for weekly/bi-weekly client conference calls: Develop agendas, review/edit junior staff contributions, staff calls, and provide call re-caps/action items to team and client
  • Attend client meetings, brainstorms, and planning sessions, as needed
  • Regularly share proactive ideas to take to the client
  • Contribute to client recaps
  • Draft press releases, creative pitches, event/launch strategy docs, and other client communications
  • Provide junior staff with guidance and serve as a mentor, problem solver, and go-between for senior staff
  • Oversee junior staff research projects (speaking opportunities, comp analysis, event venues, etc.)
  • Delegate tasks to junior team members
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree (communications, liberal arts, business, or marketing focus preferred)

Skills & Abilities Required: Understand the evolution of PR in the digital world. Ability to understand client brand category and landscape to deliver creative ideas that resonate with target audiences. Has experience in influencer marketing and social media. Strong storyteller with the ability to articulate brand narrative. Must be self-motivated, collaborative, and results-driven. Strong writer and stickler for quality control/proofing as well as solid and growing presentation skills.
