We are in search of a skilled and proactive Accounting Manager to become a vital part of our energetic Finance division.

This is a remarkable opportunity for an experienced individual with a solid foundation in accounting practices, budget management, and general ledger oversight.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of managing financial functions and influencing organizational strategy.

The Accounting Manager will take charge of the daily functions of our accounting division, crafting financial reports, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the general ledger and the creation of financial reports.
  • Produce and maintain timely and precise financial statements and reports in alignment with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations of the organization, including Charitable Status, Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Employer Health Tax.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for the annual audit and coordinate with the Board's Audit Committee and external auditors as required.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all financial transactions.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures to guarantee the security and compliance of personnel and financial information.
  • Oversee the acquisition of capital assets, ensuring proper recording, amortization, and disposal as necessary.
  • Assist in formulating the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Manage cash flow and develop cash flow projections in accordance with established policies.
  • Supervise bookkeeping activities, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and compliance of personnel and financial information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the Finance sector.
  • Proficient in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
  • Strong grasp of budgeting methodologies and general ledger operations.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on timely and accurate data.
