Job Description

The Financial Associate Intern will report to the Private Equity Managing Director and support investment activities, including sourcing investment opportunities, manager due diligence, and portfolio management. The intern will work alongside the Vice President to review Private Placement Memorandums, investment presentations, and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in private equity sector-focused research, including buyout, venture capital, growth equity, and secondaries.
  • Work alongside the Vice President to review Private Placement Memorandums, investment presentations, and financial statements.
  • Analyze and monitor the performance of the Board's existing investment managers and underlying portfolio companies.
  • Prepare Investment evaluation memoranda.
  • Attend quarterly and annual update meetings.
  • Prepare portfolio monitoring reports and support senior investment professionals in portfolio management and transaction analysis.
  • Prepare financial analyses and financial models in Excel.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or master's of finance, master's of business or equivalent degree completed by Summer 2025 or Summer 2026 with a desired minimum GPA of 3.45 and a SAT score of 2000 or above.
  • Required majors: Finance, Accounting, International Business, (Applied) Mathematics, Economics, Applied and/or Financial Economics, Statistics and/or Decision Sciences.
  • Prior work experience in a corporate finance and/or financial services setting desired.
  • Significant interest in corporate finance, financial markets, and alternative assets.
  • Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards and to demonstrate maturity, reliability, and attentiveness to detail required.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • A positive, professional demeanor, an outgoing personality, and a high level of personal initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills and deadline orientation.
  • Strong self-motivation and an ability to multi-tasking in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
