Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated individual to fulfill the responsibilities of a Receptionist, where you will engage with the public through various channels including in-person, phone, and email. This role is vital in ensuring that inquiries are handled efficiently and that visitors receive the necessary guidance. Your contribution will be key to maintaining a professional and approachable atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors with a courteous demeanor, addressing inquiries or directing them as needed.
- Manage incoming calls promptly, ensuring efficient communication.
- Provide general information and respond to routine questions from callers and visitors.
- Handle incoming deliveries and notify relevant personnel.
- Maintain organized records and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Support other departments by providing administrative backup.
- Facilitate communication between supervisors, staff, and the public.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least six (6) months of experience in a clerical or secretarial role.
- Five (5) years of experience in a front desk or customer service position.
- Experience working within a municipal or government setting.
