Position Overview:
Our client, Selectek, is in search of a Senior Electrical Engineering Leader.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to effectively allocate department personnel and resources.
- Conduct performance evaluations, offer mentorship, identify training requirements, and engage in the recruitment process for department staff, while fostering essential soft skills among team members (e.g., reliability, adaptability, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, etc.).
- Review and uphold departmental protocols, standard drawings, and software tools.
- Promote enhancements and problem-solving in design and drafting to boost productivity, ensure quality, and optimize project timelines and costs.
- Maintain clear communication with project teams, other departments, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
- Serve as the lead electrical engineer on various projects, overseeing personnel and ensuring adherence to all standards.

Design Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design and specification of transformers, motor control centers, switchgear, power and control panels, generators, grounding systems, lighting systems, security and fire alarm systems, heat tracing systems, and related industrial systems.
- Conduct basic commissioning and start-up of power system equipment in the field.
- Review supplier bids and compile bid comparisons.

Quality Assurance:
- Review departmental calculations and documents, inter-departmental check sets, and submissions to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Assist in resolving field design and constructability challenges.
- Provide professional certification for governmental permitting processes.
- Adhere to safety and security protocols; report unsafe conditions; utilize equipment and materials appropriately.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in at least three (3) of the following sectors: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers/Resins compounding, and Manufacturing.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of industrial power systems, including project execution from conceptualization to commissioning.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial power and lighting systems, as well as industrial control systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit software.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA standards, IEEE standards, and Building Codes.
- Experience with power systems, overcurrent protection, protective relaying, and control wiring schematic diagrams.
- Ability to specify power system distribution equipment up to 35kV.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and relevant industry training certifications are preferred.

Compensation:
- Competitive salary range of $115K – $160K, commensurate with experience.
