Level II:
$87,000 - $131,000.00 annually

Level III:
$107,000 - $161,420.00 annually

Level IV:
$120,000 - $180,780.00 annually

Depending on qualifications and experience, candidates may be considered for Commercial Banking Officer I, II, III, or IV levels.

Position Overview:


Heritage Bank is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Banking Officer to enhance our Boise Commercial team.

This role encompasses a comprehensive suite of commercial banking services, including the development of new business and client relationships, the production of diverse commercial loans, and the management of a portfolio of business accounts. The officer will engage in proactive outreach through calling efforts, marketing initiatives, and referrals, while coordinating the cross-sale and delivery of bank products and services to clients, acting as a trusted financial advisor.

Responsibilities also include underwriting, structuring, and closing commercial loans that align with established lending criteria, ensuring maximum profitability for the Bank while minimizing risk.

Depending on the level of the position, there may be opportunities to develop, train, coach, and motivate less experienced bankers to achieve the Bank's lending objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


- Establish and maintain a robust loan portfolio by cultivating new and expanding existing business through effective outreach programs. Regularly meet or exceed established benchmarks and annual targets.

- Build and nurture strong, profitable relationships with clients and prospects, characterized by mutual respect and trust, positioning oneself as a reliable financial advisor.

- Assess the overall resources and capabilities of client businesses, taking into account industry dynamics, financial strategies, economic conditions, and market trends to prioritize opportunities.

- Analyze client needs and recommend suitable solutions that align with the Bank's credit culture, enhancing profitability and shareholder value.

- Negotiate loan terms and conditions, structure financing based on risk assessments consistent with Bank policies, and approve loans within designated lending limits.

- Collaborate with all lines of business within the Bank to foster a productive sales and service referral process.

- Monitor and manage client relationships and transactions for financial and credit risk, ensuring adequate safeguards and ongoing compliance with loan terms.

- Proactively generate new loan and deposit business by leveraging existing client relationships and referral networks.

- Ensure timely monitoring of all credits through regular reviews and proper documentation.

- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to stay informed about significant changes in their financial conditions.

- Comply with regulatory requirements by staying updated on commercial law, UCC, and banking regulations.

- Represent the Bank in community activities to maximize client engagement.


Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing preferred.

- Level I: 2+ years of recent experience in credit analysis or commercial banking, or equivalent education and experience.

- Level II: 5+ years of commercial banking experience with advanced knowledge of lending practices preferred.

- Level III: 8+ years of progressively responsible commercial lending experience with proven success in managing complex banking relationships.

- Level IV: 10+ years of relevant experience with advanced knowledge of credit underwriting and commercial lending practices.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.

- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

- Proficient in MS Office and automated financial systems.


Work Environment:
- Climate-controlled office environment with frequent employee and customer interactions. Flexibility in schedule may be required.

Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of computer screens and ability to operate standard office equipment. May require occasional lifting of files or boxes.

Travel Requirements:
