Position Overview:
The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in the origination, credit analysis, underwriting, and ongoing management of loans. This position requires close collaboration with clients, Relationship Managers, and Portfolio Managers. Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with clients and Relationship Managers to assess loan requirements and available financial solutions.
- Identifying opportunities for cross-selling products and services to clients.
- Utilizing financial statements and software for thorough analysis.
- Evaluating Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and other collateral to ensure sufficient coverage for Asset-Based loans.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of clients' financial conditions, both personal and business-related.
- Preparing comprehensive credit presentations.
- Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining loan files and overseeing the collection of financial documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and bank policies.
- Conducting credit investigations and summarizing findings for loan officers.
- Staying informed on regulatory changes and completing required training.
- Promoting Umpqua's corporate culture through positive engagement and initiative.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or commercial lending.
- Completion of basic accounting coursework from an accredited institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of banking and credit administration.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis and cash flow evaluation.
- Familiarity with loan documentation and collateral management.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to enhance customer relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Benefits Overview:
Umpqua Bank offers a competitive total rewards package, including a comprehensive benefits plan. The salary range for this position is $58,000 to $105,000, based on various non-discriminatory factors such as experience and education. Eligible associates receive healthcare coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, life and disability insurance, tuition assistance, and more. Benefit eligibility begins on the first day of the month following the hire date for associates working at least thirty hours per week.
