Senior Research Analyst - Healthcare Actuary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize robust actuarial analytical and technical capabilities to address diverse health and behavioral health initiatives.
  • Engage with extensive data sets to create or adjust models and tools tailored to project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to ascertain project objectives and expected outcomes.
  • Aggregate and organize data from multiple public and proprietary sources with precision.
  • Ensure data integrity and completeness while constructing a versatile database.
  • Analyze the implications of various healthcare reform topics.
  • Effectively communicate findings and complex concepts through visual aids, written reports, and verbal presentations.
  • Contribute to the development of deliverables and take ownership of work outputs.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to fellow analysts, particularly in quantitative methodologies and quality assurance practices.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare analytics and/or actuarial science, demonstrating proficiency in the design, development, and analysis of quantitative data.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Experience in developing actuarial models is highly desirable.
  • Active pursuit or completion of ASA or FSA designation is preferred.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Education:

  • Master's Degree in a related discipline.
