Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to join our team at Visa. As a Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing WAN, LAN, and wireless networks in a corporate network environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement WAN, LAN, and wireless networks in a corporate network environment.
  • Provide third-level technical support to network support teams to resolve network issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, account managers, and network support teams for all engineering requirements.
  • Provide network design documentation to project teams, peers, and network support organization.
  • Develop engineering recommendations and service improvement plans for the corporate network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Advanced understanding of Cisco routing and switching.
  • Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
  • Advanced-level knowledge of Cisco VPN networking.
  • Broad knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, WAN, LAN, and wireless networking.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Working knowledge of SASE solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Arista switching.
  • Working knowledge of Unified Communications and VoIP.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, ideally Silver Peak.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud computing.
  • Knowledge of automation tools.
  • Experience creating low-level network design documentation, including detailed Visio diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • Cisco certification, Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience in network engineering.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
  • This position will be performed in an office setting.
