Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, test, and demonstrate Internet Protocol (IP) and Content Distribution Network (CON) technologies for Defense applications.
  • Integrate data networking equipment with Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Line of Sight (LOS) radio terminals, military applications (including combat/track systems), and cryptographic equipment, specifically with military satellite systems and radio networks.
  • Design and implement configurations for Linux, Cisco, and Juniper routers.
  • Implement Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solutions for network equipment.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible to streamline network provisioning and configuration.
  • Utilize network test tools such as traffic generators and packet capture to assist with network debugging and post-test performance analysis.
  • Provide technical leadership and collaboration in cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Support demonstration planning and reporting, including planning, designing, and implementing network solutions, and preparing detailed technical reports.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and deliver presentations to project stakeholders.
  • Support defense projects across the full life cycle from initial concept design through operational implementation.

Requirements:

  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field, master's degree in engineering field strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site at NIWC Pacific and NAVWAR.
  • Occasional travel (no more than 25%).
