Position Overview: A Talent Acquisition Specialist is sought for a prominent non-profit organization. This role involves supporting the Human Resources department in the development, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of recruitment strategies to meet specific staffing needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment.
  • Strong capability to conduct various interview formats, including phone, video, in-person, and group interviews.
  • Hands-on experience with diverse selection processes such as screening, interviewing, and conducting reference and background checks.
  • Ability to devise innovative recruitment strategies to fulfill staffing requirements, including participation in career fairs and community outreach.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to provide guidance in the selection and onboarding of candidates.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of legal hiring practices and confidentiality standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in using technology, including laptops and HR software.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all recruitment processes, including advertising, screening, and candidate routing.
  • Screen and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Conduct initial screenings to gather candidates' work history, education, and skill sets.
  • Perform reference and background checks.
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff to facilitate communication regarding job openings and promotions.
  • Represent the organization at community events for recruitment purposes.
  • Present a professional image to all levels of the organization and community.
  • Accurately manage data entry, applicant tracking, and other HR-related tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the HR team.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or an Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Familiarity with HRIS databases and applicant tracking systems.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a recruitment role with a high school diploma or two years with an Associate's degree.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compliance Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Completion of background checks and other mandatory requirements.

Compensation: $27 per hour.
