Job Title: Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. As a key member of our Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving MDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain system-level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.
  • Generate system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities.
  • Maintain system and component baselines in a requirement management system.
  • Define the relationships between internal and external components.
  • Communicate system-level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.
Requirements:
  • An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • 9 years with a Bachelor's degree with a STEM concentration or in a related field; 7 years experience with a master's degree in STEM concentration or related field.
  • Must also be flexible and can support various tasks on short notice.
  • Must possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving MDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
  • Possessing a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is highly desired.
  • Experience with other Space Domain and Missile Defense Systems is highly desired.
  • Experience with Agile Methods and Epic and Feature definition is a significant plus.
