About the Role

This is a full-time position as a Pilot Instructor at Lockheed Martin, a global leader in aerospace, defense, and technology solutions. The successful candidate will provide F-35 Instructor Pilot and Subject Matter Expert (SME) instruction, academic training utilizing Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and/or Interactive Courseware (ICW), and instruct flight procedures in the Pilot Training Devices executing to the approved pilot training syllabus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to F-35 pilots using Full Mission Simulators (FMS) or Mission Rehearsal Trainer (MRT)
  • Operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS) and provide SME support for all pilot training courseware updates
  • Work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill F-35 training objectives
  • Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed
  • Augment training objectives and instruction at other F-35 operational/training sites as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum 1000 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation multirole fighter aircraft
  • Former Instructor Pilot (IP) experience required
  • Indepth knowledge of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems, operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as Night Vision devices, EO/IR targeting systems, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest air-to-surface and air-to-air weapons inventory
  • Prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training, and be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods
  • Active Secret clearance and ability to qualify for access to Special Access Required (SAR) programs
Desired Skills
  • Current or demonstrated experience as an USAF/USN/USMC IP with multirole fighter experience
  • Former Weapon School, Top Gun, or MAWTS graduate desired
  • Fifth generation Full Mission Simulator (FMS) experience as an operator and/or instructor
  • F-35 flight experience is highly desired
