Key Responsibilities:
OBXtek is seeking experienced Contractor Flight Instructor Pilots for the AC-130J MDS to support the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). In this role, instructors will deliver comprehensive training in line with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and Air Force Instructions (AFI) to ensure proficiency and qualification for various flight evaluations and preparatory courses.
Essential Duties Include:
- Completing all syllabus tasks within the designated timeframe.
- Overseeing the Aircrew Graduate Evaluation Program (AGEP) in accordance with established training guidelines.
- Utilizing air traffic control services and radio communications that comply with the latest Federal Aviation Administration directives.
- Facilitating the AFSOC Instrument Refresher Course (IRC) alongside qualified instructors.
- Conducting Crew Resource Management (CRM) training with certified facilitators.
- Instructing on Night Vision Devices and aircraft communication systems as required.
- Contributing to the Critique Program by providing feedback and recommendations.
Location: Positions are based at Cannon AFB, New Mexico.
QualificationsSecurity Clearance: A valid Secret Clearance is mandatory.
- Minimum of five (5) years of aircrew experience within AFSOC.
- Possession of an FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate ratings.
- A minimum of 1,000 Mission Pilot (MP) hours across all aircraft and at least 300 hours in similar aircraft.
- Compliance with PWS Aircraft platform and simulator instructor standards.
- Current instructor certification in the Mission Design Series (MDS) or recent instructor experience within the last four years.
