SUMMARY

In this role, you will act as the Chief of Standards representative, responsible for interpreting and executing the organization's Aircrew Training Program (ATP) while managing the aircraft-specific ATP. You will also represent the Operations Manager in the same capacity. Your duties will include maintaining and overseeing flight records, managing Air Wing Information System (AWIS) entries, and updating aviation references and publications. You will be accountable for conducting training and evaluations for Rotary Wing (RW) crew members, as well as overseeing standardization administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Chief of Standards representative for the organization’s Aircrew Training Program (ATP) and manage the aircraft-specific ATP.
  • Conduct training and evaluations for both rated and non-rated rotary wing crew members, ensuring oversight of the standardization program.
  • Document performance metrics for crew members and develop tailored flight training plans aligned with the organization's mission and ATP.
  • Assist the Chief of Standards in supervising and maintaining the standardization program.
  • Participate in the selection and training of new INL/A Program Maintenance Pilots and Maintenance Evaluators.
  • Monitor flight instruction, including standardization of transitions, annual proficiency reviews, and flight evaluations.
  • Act as a member of the INL/A Standardization Committee.
  • Advocate for aircraft-specific modernization initiatives.
  • Provide comprehensive aircrew training and standardization, including academic instruction for rotary wing Rated and Non-Rated Crew Members (NRCMs).
  • Manage, supervise, schedule, and direct training for crew members to ensure safe and effective aviation support services.
  • Conduct academic and flight training, administering evaluations to ensure crew member proficiency and training standardization.
  • Train and qualify crew members for both single and multi-ship day/night/NVG missions, primarily under Visual Meteorological Conditions.
  • Develop individualized flight training plans in support of the organization's mission and ATP.
  • Ensure compliance with INL/A Standardization, Maintenance, Training, and Safety standards.
  • Oversee maintenance of crew member flight records, weight and balance calculations, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and documentation integral to contract operations.
  • Perform duties as Pilot, Pilot-in-Command, Instructor Pilot, Standardization Pilot, Air Mission Commander, and/or Flight Lead.
  • Engage in routine CONUS and OCONUS travel as required.
  • Position requires US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Perform additional aviation duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman Certificate for Rotorcraft Helicopter.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Host nation language proficiency as per contract requirements.

PREFERRED

  • FAA ATP Certificate.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 1,500 total rotary wing flight hours, including 500 hours of turbine engine time.
  • Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified with 300 hours of NVG experience.
  • 300 hours as a turbine instructor pilot or check pilot.
  • FAA CFI/CFII Certificate or military equivalent.
  • One year of experience managing a flight training program.
  • Strong English speaking and written communication skills.

PREFERRED

  • Combat experience and previous exposure to operations in conflict zones.
  • Prior experience with military firearms.
  • Prior US Military IP/SP qualified pilot experience.
  • Qualification in applicable aircraft types.
  • Current DoS Secret security clearance.
