POSITION SUMMARY:


Oversees a dedicated team to strategize, coordinate, and implement quality assurance activities related to the manufacturing and distribution of products within a business unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Nestlé guidelines in a cost-efficient manner.

The Quality Supervisor plays a crucial role in safeguarding the brand's reputation by preventing issues related to non-compliant products.

This position focuses on reducing product rejections, enhancing manufacturing processes, and positively influencing the cost implications of Quality and non-Quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Oversight - Alert relevant production staff and management regarding significant discrepancies and blocked products.
Team Leadership - Inspire and guide the team towards achieving their goals. Aid in developing the skills of quality professionals. Foster a culture of quality awareness and commitment throughout the unit. Design, deliver, and facilitate Quality training programs for the Business unit personnel.
Quality Framework - Establish and refine specific quality protocols, guidelines, and tools for the Business unit. Collaborate in defining and monitoring quality KPIs. Set operational targets in partnership with the Factory Quality Manager. Draft and update necessary forms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Quality Expertise - Support the Nestlé Continuous Excellence initiative in the pursuit of zero defects. Assist in activities to ensure adherence to the Nestlé Quality Management System requirements and other relevant guidelines and standards. Provide assistance and support for all validation processes within the Business unit. Serve as a Quality liaison for the Business unit concerning Hygiene, HACCP, and Thermal process activities.
Quality Auditing and Compliance - Prepare the unit for internal and external audits. Conduct troubleshooting and follow up on corrective actions for non-conformities. Aid in the implementation of Management of Change (MOC). Collaborate with external certification and regulatory entities as necessary.
Quality by Design - Act as a Quality liaison for projects during the industrialization and launch phases.
Quality Control Functions - Serve as the positive release coordinator for the Business unit's products.

SUPERVISION GIVEN:
Direct supervision of 1-5 team members
Indirect oversight of Operations and Maintenance teams
Key internal relationships
Department heads within the Factory.
Functional Quality contacts (market, regional Hubs, etc.)
Key external relationships

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's degree is required (preferably in microbiology, chemistry, or food science).
Operational Experience
Exposure to various roles within the Business unit (production, maintenance) or within Quality (Quality specialist).

A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Quality experience is required in a regulated manufacturing environment (food or pharmaceutical preferred); experience with aseptic processes is a significant advantage.

1-3 years of leadership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with the audit process is beneficial.
