Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Rainbow Stores. As a key member of our Human Resources Department, you will be responsible for providing support on employee-related issues, coordinating with local Union Representatives, and investigating harassment or discrimination claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide field and Home Office support on employee-related issues
  • Coordinate with local Union Representatives to avoid grievances and escalation of issues
  • Investigate harassment or discrimination claims and enforce immediate remedial actions
  • Respond to EEO charges and employment litigation
  • Conduct training on issues such as sexual harassment and problem employee management
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, EEOC, ADA, and EPA
  • Work with HRBP on OSHA safety issues and resolution
  • Evaluate employee performance and collect performance review forms from managers
  • Assist with recruitment efforts using Zip Recruiter and LinkedIn

Requirements:

  • 5 years of Human Resources experience, specifically with employee relations in a Retail Operation
  • Spanish speaking is highly desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and Lawson or other payroll system
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting HR
