Lead Claims Consultant

We invite you to join our team as a Lead Claims Consultant, where you will be instrumental in our distinguished claims department.

Embrace Challenges in Claims Management

Our Claims division is celebrated for its adept problem-solving capabilities, providing exceptional technical knowledge and showcasing our distinctive service methodology to ensure a superior global claims experience. With a robust feedback mechanism and guided by systematic processes and leadership, we take pride in delivering responsive, equitable, and professional service infused with compassion and efficiency.

The AIG Casualty Specialty Department is composed of a team of highly skilled and dedicated claims professionals with extensive expertise in managing a variety of claims, particularly focusing on Construction Defect and Sexual Abuse/Molestation Reviver cases. By fostering a collaborative environment in the management of complex claims, many of which involve significant coverage challenges, team members excel in sharing their insights and experiences. This role presents opportunities to collaborate with senior claims, underwriting, and actuarial management, as well as pathways for advancement within the department and the organization.

Your Role as a Key Contributor

  • Focusing on Construction Defect and Molestation Reviver Claims, you will manage a portfolio of high-stakes, complex claims from initial coverage inquiries to legal liability evaluations and financial assessments, striving for timely and precise resolutions.
  • Your goal will be to resolve claims efficiently, accurately, and with a customer-centric approach, minimizing liability exposure and reducing vendor and legal expenses – actively promoting and exemplifying the 'Treating Customers Fairly' principles in claims management.
  • You will maintain consistent communication with both internal and external stakeholders in your capacity as the Casualty technical claims authority and innovative thinker.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will step in for the Team Manager when necessary, provide mentorship, and serve as a technical resource for colleagues.
  • You will contribute to the enhancement of Claims processes by supporting Quality Assurance and Regional Audit initiatives, ensuring the mitigation of liability and expense exposure while keeping all key internal and external stakeholders informed on developments and outcomes as required.

Qualifications for Success

  • Advanced knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation/procedural requirements for Casualty Claims.
  • Experience in negotiating, mediating, arbitrating, and utilizing ADR skills in managing complex high-value claims.
  • Expertise in accurately and consistently interpreting policy language.
  • A proven history of effectively implementing recommendations from technical claims audits and continuously enhancing file management.
  • The ability to influence both claims and non-claims stakeholders to effectively guide claims strategy.
  • Capability to provide technical training to the team’s claims handlers as needed.
  • Preferably possess a JD Degree.

If you are prepared to elevate your career, we are eager to hear from you.
