Civil Engineering Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team at ProSearch. As a CADD Microstation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of property boundaries, creating maps and legal descriptions of land, and providing valuable information for municipal, state, and federal improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce existing conditions surveys from in-house generated survey data.
- Convert data between AutoCAD and Microstation.
- Conduct records research at the municipal, county, and state levels.
- Prepare right-of-way maps.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Bentley MicroStation InRoads and/or Open Roads Designer (ORD).
- Proficient in AutoCAD (familiarity with Carlson Survey a plus).
- Ability to interpret field notes and data.
- Experience in digital terrain model (DTM) creation.
- Ability to perform public records research and the ability to interpret/plot plans and deeds.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years of experience drafting/design experience in survey/civil engineering field.
