Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control parts.
- Fabricate, disassemble, and assemble equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform minor and major preventative maintenance on company assets to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Maintain plant support equipment, including air compressors, forklifts, boilers, waste water treatment systems, fire systems, HVAC, pumps, chillers, and other critical systems.
- Perform facility building repair, improvement, and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Conduct general building cleaning and upkeep to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Understand equipment and electrical drawings to determine appropriate replacement parts and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Troubleshoot servo-driven and PLC-based equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Troubleshoot and maintain high-speed packing, labeling, and filling equipment to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Support equipment improvement activities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve day-to-day manufacturing floor issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Recommend and implement layout improvements for better material flow to optimize production.
- Support safety-related improvements related to process and equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform welding, sheet metal work, and basic shop floor skills to complete metalworking tasks.
- Understand and utilize precision measurement tools with good data techniques to ensure accurate measurements.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency for mechanical repair and an understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
Requirements:
- At least five years of experience in a similar industrial maintenance role.
- High-speed manufacturing experience, including packaging, filling, and labeling.
- Experience in OTC or FDA-controlled environments, GMP.
- Experience with blending, filling, packaging, or automated equipment.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting bearings, belts, sprockets, gears, chains, cams, pistons, servo motors, and proper alignment.
- Experience with ink jet printers and preventative maintenance and repair.
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electrical controls (120v, 24v, and 3-phase power).
- Experience with welding stainless steel.
- Fanuc robot experience.
- Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience and understanding of sensor function and use.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Ability to lift 75lbs.
- Basic skills in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, metal machining, electrical control devices, mathematics, and safety.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team or individual basis.
- Understanding of precision measuring equipment.
