About the RoleThe Program Support Tech Senior will provide technical support to one or more programs, applying policy and procedures to daily finance reporting and accounts billing. This role will serve as an expert contact and information resource for clinical programs/services, performing complex tasks and providing information to promote access to other services.
Responsibilities- Independently perform technical office tasks in support of one or more programs.
- Apply policy and procedures pertaining to daily finance reporting and accounts billing.
- Serve as an expert contact and information resource for one or more clinical programs/services.
- Perform the most complex tasks for program services available in a health department or district.
- Provide information to promote access to other services.
- Direct, advise, and train others in a supervisory capacity.
- Design and direct workflow processes.
- Research and process insurance claims.
- Gather data and collect and prepare reports on program activities.
- Develop, promote, and coordinate program activities.
- Provide financial/procurement support as requested.
- Working knowledge of medical office procedures, computer and software technology, use of policies & procedures, and customer service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, orally and written.
- Strong organizational skills and experience with software applications and Microsoft Office products (i.e. WORD, EXCEL, and database entry) and general office equipment (copier, fax, calculator).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to follow and apply established procedures and applicable policies.
- Coursework in Medical Terminology.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Experience using Webvision, Payscan, Avality, and/or other health coverage software.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting associated with billing.
- Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse persons and communities, with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate.
