Dynamic and Established Legal Firm is looking for an HR Operations Manager to enhance their team.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide managerial and administrative assistance to the Chief Human Resources Officer in various areas.
- Oversee all human resource functions within the organization, consistently assessing existing policies and procedures, and proposing enhancements.
- Manage recruitment, hiring, development, and retention initiatives in alignment with state and federal regulations and best practices in employment law.
- Identify staffing requirements for the organization; maintain and monitor established staffing ratios and trends. Supervise non-exempt staff, including administrative assistants and clerical personnel, to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Facilitate employee relations and address employment-related conflicts.
- Collaborate with personnel to ensure compliance with requests for leaves of absence.
- Coordinate with the Chief Human Resources Officer and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator regarding all employee benefit programs, including 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plans.
- Ensure that updated standard job descriptions for support staff are maintained and reviewed in a timely manner.
- Keep the Managing Partners and Chief Human Resources Officer informed about HR matters; assist with reports and financial analyses as required. Support the integration of new legal professionals.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer or Managing Partners.
Qualifications & Expectations:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related discipline, or equivalent training through work experience. Previous experience in a law firm setting, along with SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certifications, is advantageous.
- Approximately 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in legal or professional service organizations to develop the expertise necessary for managing a professional HR system.
- Ability to identify and analyze complex issues, with the capability to recommend and implement effective solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster and maintain professional relationships with partners, attorneys, and staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal services, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft applications.
