Our team of over 600 consultive sales associates provides rapid service and support levels that solidify our long-standing ties to both established and up-and-coming premium restaurants.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Sales Associate to join our rapidly growing organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships with our customers.
You will be responsible for selling our fine products to restaurants and caterers, hotels and retail establishments by performing the following duties:
- Develop and grow new sales and increase sales with existing accounts.
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Travel throughout assigned territory and/or call on regular and prospective customers to secure orders.
- Display or demonstrate product using samples or catalog, and emphasize saleable features.
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Prepare reports of business transactions and keep updated expense accounts.
- Work with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Track stock levels.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
We are looking for a highly energetic and positive individual with a strong team player profile. You should have a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of relevant experience in sales. Previous sales experience in restaurant, food sales, or professional catering, and/or working as a Chef is preferred.
You should be a self-starter who is driven and motivated to take responsibility and ensure successful outcomes across activities despite obstacles. You should have excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
You should be an outstanding verbal and written communicator with the ability to develop a culture of participation and involvement. You should be able to gather facts and figures, monitor self and others, and achieve goals in a timely and factual manner.
