Position Overview

The Patient Services Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating patient interactions during the registration and arrival process for both scheduled and unscheduled appointments. Reporting to the Patient Access Services manager, this individual is tasked with ensuring a smooth registration experience by accurately gathering demographic and insurance information, as well as addressing patient financial responsibilities at the time of service.

This role also encompasses financial clearance responsibilities for scheduled accounts during periods of registration downtime. The Patient Services Specialist is dedicated to providing exceptional client service, which includes the collection of patient valuables and delivering fundamental customer support. Every interaction is approached with professionalism, friendliness, and respect to foster positive patient experiences.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, specifically within Patient Access or a business office environment, with familiarity in insurance eligibility systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • Experience with Epic Applications for at least one year.

The salary range provided is the base pay for this position, with additional compensation opportunities available, including shift differentials, overtime, and bonuses.
