POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Banking Specialist will engage with clients, delivering outstanding service and support for their banking needs at various retail locations. This role includes mentoring junior staff members and ensuring a high standard of customer interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Builds strong relationships with clients by greeting them personally, understanding their account details, and responding promptly to inquiries and issues while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
  2. Delivers exceptional service regarding daily banking activities, resolving client inquiries in line with bank policies.
  3. Handles a variety of banking transactions, including deposits, loan payments, and cash management tasks.
  4. Maintains customer confidentiality and trust.
  5. Adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  6. Completes required training and development activities in a timely manner.
  7. Participates actively in team meetings and individual coaching sessions.
  8. Responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the banking center.
  9. Promotes and recommends the bank's deposit and loan products to meet customer needs effectively.
  10. Identifies customer financial needs and refers them to appropriate services, such as investment and commercial banking.
  11. Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of the bank's offerings and seeks assistance for further learning when necessary.
  12. Assists clients in completing applications for various loan products.
  13. Engages in community service and volunteer activities.
  14. Performs additional tasks as assigned.
  15. Provides guidance and support to junior banking staff.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
  • Commission as a Notary Public.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least two years of experience in banking.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Competence in independently managing transactions and services.
  • Capability to handle complex account openings and transactions.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage banking center operations.
  • Experience in building customer relationships.
  • Ability to act as a vault custodian.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity practices to protect the bank and its clients.
  • Demonstrated competencies expected of a Senior Banking Specialist.
