Job Summary

HealthDrive is seeking an experienced Optometrist to provide on-site optometric services to residents of long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
  • Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
  • Provide general optometry services, including diagnosing and treating refractive disorders and ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
  • Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
  • Travel to assigned facilities to provide mobile model treatment of patients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
  • State professional license
  • Valid driver's license
  • TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use email, the internet, and to learn other healthcare-related software.
