As a Water Safety Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for families and children.

Your responsibilities will include supporting our safety protocols both in the water and on the deck, acting as a first responder during emergencies, maintaining safety equipment, and collaborating with a dedicated team.

Compensation:
Starting at $19.97/hour - $22/hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck, and in surrounding areas.
- Prevent accidents through vigilant observation of the pool area, enforcing health and safety regulations, and maintaining readiness for emergencies.
- Respond to distressed individuals and provide first aid or CPR as needed, utilizing your training and available medical supplies.
- Conduct equipment checks and ensure necessary supplies are readily available, reporting any issues promptly.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members, program participants, and guests at all times.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform chemical testing of pool water.
- Set up and store equipment for recreational swimming sessions.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- We can assist with the certification process for interested candidates.
- Minimum age of 16 for part-time positions, and 18 for full-time roles.
- Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross).
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Current certification in Administering Emergency Oxygen.
- Strong swimming skills.
- Ability to remain observant and respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
- Capacity to maintain a certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
- Willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with and experience working with diverse populations (including language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
- Proficiency in any language in addition to English is a plus.

Other combinations of relevant education, training, and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, abilities, and skills to perform effectively in this role may also be considered.
