Job Overview:

The Clinical Services Coordinator III is responsible for delivering advanced consultative services and technical support within the agency.

This role involves strategizing, developing, and executing a comprehensive program while offering expert guidance to program personnel, governmental bodies, community organizations, and the public.

The position operates under general oversight, allowing for a moderate degree of initiative and independent decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to engage at the child and family level, utilizing a collaborative team approach that encompasses key stakeholders, including medical case managers, judicial representatives, educational professionals, mental health experts, family members, and others. The aim is to expedite the transition of children from unlicensed care, avert entry into such care, and reduce recidivism rates.

Formulate trauma-informed team meetings with the interdisciplinary group and devise personalized care plans tailored to the needs of youth and their families.

Collaborate with each child's caseworker to ensure that families are well-prepared and supported to actively participate in these meetings.

The Clinical Services Coordinator is expected to adhere to core principles and values that optimize family-centered care, ensuring a personalized approach that avoids standardized pathways.

Work in conjunction with caseworkers and regional leads to guarantee that every child in unlicensed care receives essential therapeutic and educational resources.

Maintain follow-up with children for a minimum of 90 days post-discharge from unlicensed placements to confirm that adequate services and support systems are established for their stabilization.

As children transition into licensed placements, the coordinator will facilitate discharge meetings and assist with the discharge process for foster children in various care settings.

Consistent communication with the child’s support team is crucial to successfully navigate the discharge process, supporting both the caseworker and the child throughout.

This position collaborates closely with various entities to provide optimal support for children in care, including offering discharge assistance to other field staff.


May recommend and coordinate initiatives to enhance program effectiveness. May contribute to the development or revision of policy and procedural manuals and provide guidance to colleagues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations pertinent to the program area; public administration principles;

management strategies; statistical analysis methods; budgeting processes; research methodologies; training and marketing techniques; and program management principles.


Understanding of evidence-based clinical practices related to adolescent mental health. Knowledge of behavioral variances associated with adolescent psychological disorders.
Proficiency in techniques for diagnosing and treating adolescent psychological conditions. Awareness of theoretical treatment options for adolescent psychological disorders.
Knowledge of preventive health care strategies for adolescent psychological issues.

Ability to remain attuned to the reactions of others and comprehend the reasons behind those reactions.

Comprehension of trauma-informed care principles and their application to individuals and the broader system.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in various computer applications essential for data analysis.

Ability to identify performance indicators for programs, utilize computer software effectively, gather and analyze data, devise solutions to challenges, market programs, prepare reports, develop and interpret policies and procedures, communicate effectively, and mentor others.
