Are you passionate about supporting children and their families? We are in search of a dynamic leader who is empathetic and devoted to mentoring a team of clinical therapists to empower youth and families by fostering strength-based behavioral transformations that endure beyond treatment.
You will receive continuous training in the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model while collaborating with key members to implement MST effectively. Extensive research has validated the efficacy of MST. MST therapists/clinicians are dedicated to addressing the needs of youth involved in the juvenile justice system, including, when necessary, substance abuse issues. Our team of clinicians will enable families to tackle challenging behaviors and assist youth aged 12–17 in making transformative life changes. Treatment progress is achieved through intensive interventions such as skill development, modifying unproductive family dynamics, and enhancing social support.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, train, and support the MST team(s) through weekly group supervision and individual supervision as necessary, ensuring adherence to MST principles and effective intervention implementation.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative MST team environment where therapists can learn together and share responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, both within the organization and in the community.
- Promote the MST program within the community and generate referrals.
- Manage program referrals and clinician caseloads effectively.
- Collaborate with MST experts to ensure effective implementation and ongoing quality management of the program.
- Actively engage with MST experts and organizational leadership to enhance supervisory, leadership, and clinical development.
- Monitor and report on clinical outcomes and program practices.
- Provide MST treatment to a limited caseload of families, if necessary.
- Deliver all services in a person-centered, trauma-informed manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
A Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or a related field is required. Professional licensure as an LPC-Associate, LMFT-Associate, or LMSW under clinical supervision is preferred; full licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW is highly desirable.
Bilingual candidates (English-Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in supervisory or leadership roles, including hiring, performance evaluation, and mentorship.
- Extensive clinical experience in addressing serious antisocial behavior in youth.
- Experience implementing interventions across various systems affecting youth behavior (e.g., family, peers, school, community).
- Collaboration with external agencies.
- Direct application of pragmatic family therapies.
- Individual therapy experience with adolescents and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques.
- Experience in marital therapy using behaviorally based approaches.
- Behavioral therapy targeting academic performance and school behavior.
- Provision of clinical supervision for groups and individuals.
