Position Overview

The Parts Procurement Specialist is tasked with the essential role of sourcing and acquiring components for a diverse range of trucks and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
This position is vital in ensuring that parts sourcing and orders are executed efficiently and accurately, aligning with our customers' needs to uphold excellence in safety and service.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring a strong internal focus and a deep understanding of universal system operations.

Performance Goals:

- Identifying, pricing, and ordering parts for service requests and estimates.

- Managing work in progress (WIP) on a daily basis.

- Receiving parts orders and updating the status of pending parts for dispatch.

- Communicating parts status with dispatch and technicians through appropriate channels.

- Overseeing outgoing credit returns and requests.

Scope of Work Includes:

- Heavy-duty trucks

- Forklifts

- Heavy machinery

- Aerial lifts

- Minor fleet automotive tasks

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Competencies:

- Comprehensive knowledge of vendors, including when to source parts from dealers versus aftermarket suppliers.

- Ability to prioritize speed, cost, and availability for service orders.

- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn about various equipment types.

- Strong communication skills to engage positively with team members.

- Dependable and punctual team member.

Education & Experience:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a dealership, repair shop, or parts warehouse.

Physical Requirements:

- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the day.

- Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements as necessary.

- Ability to sit for extended periods.

$25/hr. to $33/hr. based on relevant experience, plus weekly production bonuses.
