The Business Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our business, with responsibility for resident files, personnel files, payroll, supporting managers track expenses, managing the concierge team, accounts payable and receivable, reviewing the budget and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, schedule, and oversee the concierge team to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Generate accurate resident billing and process receivables daily.
- Log move-in and move-out information into our property management system.
- Process refunds and assign expenses to proper account codes.
- Issue late notices, balance due letters, credit letters, and eviction notices as needed.
- Assist the Executive Director with collections questions, resident communications, move-out notices, renewals, and other administrative tasks.
- Complete and submit payroll and assist with human resources activities, including workers' comp claims and administration of company benefits.
- Support resident satisfaction and retention by providing excellent customer service.
- Formal training in bookkeeping/accounting; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and other Microsoft products required.
- A working knowledge of property management software, such as Yardi, is preferred.
- A proven leader who can make independent judgments and oversee the work of others, while working collaboratively with other department heads.
