Job Summary

Achieve Human Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Janitorial Tasks: Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
  • Floor Care: Strip, wax, and buff hard surface floors, and shampoo/steam clean carpets.
  • Preventive Care and Maintenance: Perform operator-level maintenance on janitorial equipment, replace light bulbs and filters, and maintain accountability for assigned tools and equipment.
  • Training and Compliance: Complete required training and certifications, and adhere to published safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report discrepancies, damage to equipment or facilities, safety violations, and adhere to CBP/YPG reporting procedures.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent bending, lifting, twisting, reaching over head, and standing for long periods of time. Staff must be able to walk up and down stairs and lift up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Age: Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Certifications: Must be able to obtain valid certifications for Agency compliance within 90 days of employment.
  • Background Check: Must pass and maintain a background investigation/background check mandated by Federal Contract requirements.
