Job Summary:

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join Lockheed Martin as a CH-53E/K Air Vehicle Field Service Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Organizational and Intermediate level Air Vehicle Systems support on the CH-53E/K platform for the US Marine Corps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-the-job training in maintenance and operation techniques relevant to the repair of the CH-53E/K aircraft and equipment.
  • Offer guidance and instruction in the use of associated special tools and test equipment.
  • Assist in identifying areas where additional training may be required.
  • Emphasize safety precautions and demonstrate best methods for installation of modifications and retrofit kits.
  • Render technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems.
  • Provide analysis of maintenance program and recommendations for improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison to Sikorsky Rotary and Mission Systems for the exchange of information relative to the maintenance of the aircraft.
  • Submit written reports to Sikorsky RMS management on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain full awareness of local professional rules and customs associated with the USMC Customer.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience maintaining Sikorsky CH-53 aircraft.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is desirable.
  • Federal Communication Commission (FCC) certification is desirable.
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering related field is desirable.
  • Master Training Specialist certification is desirable.
  • US Military Quality/Production Control experience is desirable.

Security Clearance:

This position requires a government security clearance, and the successful candidate must be a US Citizen.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a non-standard 40 hour work week as assigned by the leader.
