As a key member of the Gowan Company team, the EHS Manager will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive Environmental and Safety programs. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ **Oversee the internal EHS initiatives:**

+ Act as the Safety Coordinator

+ Supervise Environmental Operations

+ **Facilitate regulatory communications.**

+ **Ensure timely completion of all state and federal regulatory reports.**

+ **Conduct research and analysis of State and Federal regulations affecting plant operations.**

+ **Guarantee adherence to site compliance standards.**

+ **Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in EHS metrics.**

+ **Manage and forecast the departmental financial budget.**

+ **Lead customer and regulatory audits.**

+ **Collaborate with environmental consultants on necessary permitting.**

+ **Represent Gowan Company in all EHS matters.**

**Qualifications and Skills Required:**

+ Degree in EHS or a related field.

+ Proven experience with crop protection products in a manufacturing environment.

+ Familiarity with ADEQ, EPA, and ADOSH regulations.

+ Experience in managing waste and hazardous waste operations.

+ Background in overseeing safety programs in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

+ Knowledge of managing workers' compensation programs.

+ Experience in industrial hygiene program management.

+ Understanding of process safety management programs such as PSM, DHA, PHA, RMP, and MOC.

+ Proficient in managing environmental programs including FIFRA Production reporting, Tier II Reporting, hazardous waste reporting, air permits, toxic release inventory, and pollution prevention plans.

+ Ability to analyze technical information to identify hazards and develop safe operating procedures.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ This is an on-call position.

+ Ability to stand for extended periods.

+ Capability to navigate stairs within buildings.

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

+ Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and pushing is required.

+ Willingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures throughout the year.
