Position Overview

The Facilities Care Specialist is tasked with ensuring the property is maintained in a pristine and orderly condition.

This role reports directly to the Property Manager and receives guidance from the Maintenance Supervisor as required.

The Facilities Care Specialist will foster effective working relationships with all staff members, vendors, contractors, and construction personnel, while also maintaining positive interactions with current and prospective residents.


Key Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are not exhaustive but represent the typical duties performed by the Facilities Care Specialist:

Daily Duties:

- Vacuum all common area carpets and tiled floors.
- Perform touch-up cleaning in laundry facilities.
- Clean all glass surfaces in building vestibules.
- Sanitize all common area restrooms.

Weekly Duties:

- Conduct thorough cleaning of laundry rooms.
- Sweep all stairwells.
- Vacuum, sweep, and dust all Community Rooms.
- Clean trash rooms and empty trash receptacles.
- Vacuum and dust all office spaces.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Clean all windows in the building inside and out, twice annually.
- Deep clean all common area carpeting, twice annually.
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and schedule servicing as needed.
- Assist in the cleaning of vacant units.
- Support other tasks as required, including snow removal, landscaping, minor maintenance, grounds upkeep, painting, and being available for emergency situations.

Qualifications

- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, with at least three (3) years of experience in housekeeping or maintenance.
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude, energy, and assertiveness.
- Demonstrates integrity both personally and professionally.
- Willingness to perform all assigned tasks with a focus on quality work and safety.
