About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Residential Services Coordinator to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our Student Housing department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordinating services to ensure a smooth and efficient living experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise front desk student staff, including hiring, training, and evaluation of approximately 22 casual employees
  • Maintain and upgrade office equipment, coordinate services with vendors, and analyze service trends and requests
  • Jointly coordinate and manage room assignments with Housing Administrative Services, the central Student Housing office
  • Provide heavy client relations with a diverse group of students, campus partners, and external constituents
  • Oversight of assignments, room change process, contract terminations, and providing backup support for other community Residential Services Coordinators
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of administrative procedures and processes, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Interpersonal and work leadership skills to provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel
  • Ability to interact positively and communicate effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual oral and written communication skills (English and Spanish, Chinese, Korean, or Vietnamese)
  • Demonstrate experience in using Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or similar software
  • Knowledge of Student Housing, university, and community resources, systems, and services
