Job OverviewThe Lead Educator for Violence Prevention Programs plays a vital role within the Community Education team, tasked with the creation and execution of pioneering initiatives aimed at violence prevention tailored to the needs of both campus and community stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:- Oversee program creation, strategic planning, and assessment.
- Craft and execute outreach campaigns and educational programs focused on violence prevention.
- Ensure adherence to grant requirements and external funding obligations.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage volunteers and interns.
- Foster relationships with campus and community partners.
- Offer support services related to SASA.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline or a Bachelor's degree accompanied by pertinent experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Exceptional facilitation and educational skills.
- Competence in technology and social media tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with applicable laws and campus compliance standards.
- Ability to thrive in diverse environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sexual assault prevention and trauma-informed methodologies.
- Background in supervisory roles and community service learning.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and grant management processes.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and field-based activities.
- Availability for some evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
