Early Education Specialist

The Lead Teacher in an Early Education Program is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children. This role involves creating a positive learning environment, guiding students in their academic and social development, and working collaboratively with other staff members to achieve the program's educational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development and Implementation
- Design and deliver a curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
- Plan and implement daily lessons, activities, and projects that foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Classroom Management
- Create and maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment that supports the needs of all students.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote a respectful and productive classroom atmosphere.
- Establish and maintain clear rules and expectations for student behavior.
- Student Assessment and Evaluation
- Observe and assess students' progress and development, using formal and informal assessment tools.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' achievements and areas of growth.
- Utilize assessment data to inform and adjust instructional practices.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with Teachers Assistants, other staff members, and parents to support students' learning and development.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and planning sessions.
- Foster strong relationships with families, providing support and resources to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students at all times.
- Follow school policies and procedures related to child safety, emergency protocols, and health regulations.
- Administer first aid as needed and manage any medical or emergency situations in accordance with school policies.
- Professional Development
- Stay current with early childhood education research, best practices, and new teaching methodologies.
- Engage in ongoing monthly staff meetings, professional developments, and training opportunities.
- Reflect on personal teaching practices and seek feedback to improve effectiveness.
