Position Overview

This role is intended for internal candidates only. It is designed for current, full-time, and part-time employees of the organization.

The starting salary range for this position is between $60,398 and $69,460, with the initial salary offer being based on educational qualifications and relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities

This position will oversee the financial management of all grants, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and audit processes.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as institutional policies regarding all fiscal grant activities.
  • Supervise the team within the Grant Accounting Department.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and quality of fiscal grant data collected and reported.
  • Authorize amendments to grant budgets.
  • Analyze and interpret grant agreements to identify compliance issues.
  • Coordinate annual external audit activities related to grant financials as requested by auditors.
  • Facilitate all audits conducted by grant funding agencies.
  • Review agreements with sub-grantees and assist them with various issues as necessary.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of institutional procedures, policies, and guidelines pertinent to grant activities.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with federal, state, and local granting agency representatives to address compliance challenges, including budgeting, reporting, and documentation.

Qualifications

Internal candidates must be current full-time or part-time employees of the organization.

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with grant and accounting compliance standards, including OMB Circulars, Accounting Principles, GAAP, and GASB.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of contracts and agreements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse staff and external funding agencies.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
