Member Service Associate

New England Federal Credit Union is seeking a skilled Member Service Associate to join our Contact Center team in South Burlington or Montpelier. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional service to our members through efficient, accurate, and polite interactions over the phone, chat, and email.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Update member information and conduct transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Set up internal transfers, autopay, and manage consumer loan payoffs.
  • Provide and post consumer loan payoffs, understand statements, and assist with online banking and account line assistance.
  • Assist with card applications, online functionality, mobile functionality, and mobile wallet.
  • Consistently meet engagement goals and demonstrate empathy for members' needs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced call center environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate with members and staff.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and solid attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Superior customer service skills and ability to task appropriate probing questions.
