POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Electrical Systems Engineer will engage in intricate diagnostics, specialized evaluations, inspections, and assessments on electrical devices and systems. This role provides technical support to a designated region of service engineers.

This position may be mentally demanding, necessitating a high level of focus and concentration on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct intricate diagnostics, specialized evaluations, inspections, and assessments on electrical devices and systems.
  • Test and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, including advanced UPS/Battery systems and various types of power metering.
  • Lead significant projects that require specialized expertise, such as UPS acceptance testing, commissioning of larger DC systems, overseeing "turnkey" projects, detailed power surveys, and other forms of electrical consultation.
  • Play a key role in developing tests and inspections in new areas of field services.
  • Utilize troubleshooting capabilities with AC/DC load banks and power quality recording instruments, along with all testing and troubleshooting equipment associated with UPS, Charger, and Battery evaluations.
  • Execute installation and start-up services for all UPS and DC/Battery systems.
  • May conduct and/or supervise a comprehensive range of complex engineering studies.
  • Prepare complete, detailed reports promptly at the conclusion of projects, utilizing a computer, and accurately process job billing.
  • May perform complex analysis and evaluative tasks necessary for completing equipment labeling projects in accordance with recognized industry and international standards, local jurisdiction requirements, and company protocols.
  • Support sales functions and maintain robust client relationships.
  • Perform all functions related to preparing written job proposals for clients, including estimating man-hours and expenses, and developing scope and pricing.
  • Actively engage in client interactions and business development initiatives.
  • Deliver effective technical presentations and may be required to write publishable articles.
  • Mentor other Field Service Engineer positions and provide training and assistance to other Field Service Engineers in the region.
