We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to become a vital part of our esteemed FRIB Laboratory at Michigan State University. This laboratory plays a crucial role in supporting the mission of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science by equipping researchers with cutting-edge tools to explore rare isotopes and advance the field of nuclear science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate electrical integration across various hardware divisions
- Design, plan, and enhance significant electrical systems
- Lead the Electrical Safety Committee
- Conduct reviews and inspections of electrical systems
- Oversee the Electrical Safety Program
- Manage engineers and spearhead projects
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Proficient understanding of electrical distribution and NFPA regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Experience with particle accelerator technology
- Background in project management
