Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Tax Advisor on the Tax Contracts Team will be tasked with evaluating contracts submitted through the Tax Contracts Tool, comprehending the commercial arrangements, and identifying any significant tax risks.
The Advisor will collaborate with Amazon's corporate legal team to negotiate advantageous commercial agreements and may engage with counterparty tax and legal teams.
The Advisor will also be responsible for the annual review and revision of approval policies, standard tax provisions, or more frequently as necessitated by new laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where Amazon operates.
Basic Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications at an advanced level.
- Experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
- 3+ years of experience managing and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g., Vertex).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as VBA, Python, SQL, or other database languages.

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets.
The base salary for this position ranges from $76,400/year in our lowest geographic market to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market.
Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
