Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate the manual transfer of materials, either by hand or with the assistance of a manual pallet jack or lifting device, as outlined in the standard operating procedures.



Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  1. Unload and stack materials using a lifting device attached to a hoist.
  2. Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices manually as required.
  3. Manually load parts from storage areas to kit carts.
  4. Follow designated routes within the department to efficiently load kit carts.
  5. Manually load and unload parts from the paint line.
  6. Conduct safety checks on necessary equipment.
  7. Perform tasks safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations.
  8. Utilize electronic scanners for material transactions as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in aisles.
  2. Assist in training and instructing new team members as requested.
  3. Complete preventative maintenance and other tasks as assigned by management.
  4. Perform other non-essential duties as directed.



Qualifications:

Candidates must be able to adhere to established methods and procedures while performing tasks efficiently. The ability to work quickly under time constraints is essential.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Job-specific skills and safe operating practices will be acquired through on-the-job training.
  • General instructions will be provided for recurring tasks, with detailed guidance for new responsibilities.



Working Conditions:

This position is performed in a shop environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, and potential chemical hazards. Personal protective equipment is required.

Physical Requirements:

The role is classified as medium duty, requiring the ability to exert varying levels of force to move objects.
