Job Summary

Advatix is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Power-Operated Equipment: Safely operate forklifts and other power-operated equipment to move materials around the warehouse.
  • Pick and Pack Items: Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, using a forklift as needed.
  • Complete Documentation: Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation to ensure accurate records.
  • Restock and Organize: Ensure all items not needed in the short term are restocked according to established procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Coordinate Shipments: Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries, and label and prepare items for shipment.
  • Update Warehouse Management System: Update the Warehouse Management system with transactions to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Perform daily safety checklists and standard battery charging procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support Team Members: Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations, and update supervisors and team leads on issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, or three years of relevant warehouse experience.
  • Experience: Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is required.
  • Certifications: Current forklift certification or the ability to become certified within 30 days is required.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, and physical stamina to lift up to 40 pounds alone and greater weights in a team-lift environment.
