The Financial Business Development Analyst provides accurate and timely financial data.
This position researches and analyzes financial information to help make informed business decisions. Ideal candidate is detail oriented, has excellent computer skills, and is an independent thinker. Core ResponsibilitiesEvaluates financial and business-related data to provide valuable, accurate and timely information on business performance.Assists in month-end close and annual budgeting process.Maintains the chart of accounts including additions, inactivation, and updates of business units and general ledger accounts.Designs reports that present both actual and budgeted data in a concise manner for use by management in decision making.Provides financial analysis for department managers. Provide leadership and direction to business managers and other management as a valued Finance partner in establishing strategy and running daily operations.Analyzes key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.Support the Company's financial reporting and analytical data requests, including scheduled periodic financial reporting as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis.M & ASupport all strategic business acquisitions and divestitures for Smithfield Foods.Real EstateManage Smithfield's property leases, land purchases or sales, and all real estate related matters.RenewablesSupport joint venture initiatives into bio-gas and renewable natural gas as well as other opportunities within the renewable energy space.
