Make history with us.Summary:The Manager FP&A -Trade plays an integral role in the planning and accounting for our trade expense. This role supports the USM&B Sales Team and will interact closely with the USM&B Sales Finance and Brand Finance Teams. The ideal candidate will be able to drive results through process, interact effectively with stakeholders across varying levels and functions within the organization, and generate insights to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our trade spend and projections.Primary Responsibilities:This role is the central point of contact for USM&B Trade Expense, which exceeds $1B. Responsibilities include:Partner closely with the Accounting team to lead the trade close process each monthLead calls with the Sales Finance teams and scrutinize actual results and projectionsTell the "story" around trade and translate it from a customer view to a brand viewOwn, update and publish several key reports, including the Trade Dissector, Internal Bridges, and Event-level bridgesGenerate key schedules and analysis for the quarter-end process and present to the Corporate ControllerOwn the Customer Trade Checkbook and related processesAssist with the monthly trade projection:Scrutinize the field projection and suggest over-the-top corrections and adjustmentsGenerate key reports around the projection, including internal bridges and event-level bridges, and communicate drivers to managementGenerate Risk and Opportunities related to the projectionPartner with Brand Finance, Sales Strategy, and Revenue Management to lead the development of working trade rates for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)Serve as the Sales Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for e4, including:Interfacing with the e4 team to discuss potential enhancements to e4Assisting in testing enhancements as requiredBe the liaison between the Sales Finance Team and the e4 teamCreation of e4 rates: COPS, Freight, Other Sales Deductions, Broker CommissionsCoordination of the annual AOP load / target tie-out in EPMCoordination of customer hierarchy changes with Sales Finance, Master Data, and the Controller's TeamProvide ad-hoc analyses and schedules around trade as requested by other teamsProvide insights to improve current processes and reportingComplexity:Must have strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teamsMust be intellectually curious and driven to improve the functionMust be viewed as a trusted advisor by all stakeholder/partners and have the ability to influence global adoption of processesAbility to assess and synthesize data from multiple data sources and systems and generate improvement recommendations from that dataAbility to lead and adapt to change, drive results through process/continuous improvement, and interact effectively with stakeholders across varying levels and functions within the organizationProficiency with or ability to learn and become proficient with financial and operational tools including e4, SAP and EPM.Minimum Requirements:Highly motivated and proactive in problem solvingBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferredCPA certification a plus8-10 years of relevant financial analysis and accounting experience requiredFinancial Planning and Analysis and Sales Finance experience a plusKnowledge of US GAAP a plusAbility to use common reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Envision) a plusDemonstrated leadership skillsStrong verbal and written communication and client interface skillsThe Company is committed to providing equal opportunity for employees and applicants in all aspects of the employment relationship, without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, marital status, veteran status, disability, age, religion or any other classification protected by law.In that regard, U.S. applicants and employees are protected from discrimination based on certain categories protected by Federal law. Compensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$85,900-$140,800Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
