We are working with an industry leading dairy food manufacturer seeking a Director of Sales to be responsible for leading and managing sales initiatives and growth efforts. This role will require a deep understanding of the dairy market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth. This position will require some travel of about 35%.Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends. Set and track sales targets and quotas.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the dairy industry. Understand customer needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
Sales Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Implement sales process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the dairy industry. Develop and execute sales plans for new products or services. Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the dairy industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Deep understanding of the dairy market and industry trends. Proficiency in salesforce automation and CRM tools.
